HrPulse is deeply committed to protecting its customers' privacy. This policy describes how we store, retain and protect "personally identifiable information" (PII) that you provide to us through HrPulse. Please carefully read our privacy policy to gain a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in connection with our website or services.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?

When registering for the product, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience.

When installing HrPulse, you are asked for the following Slack permissions, which you consent to by installing in your Slack team.

  • Access your profile and your workspace's profile fields - HrPulse will be able to access your profile fields, as well as any data you've entered in them.
  • View email addresses of people on your workspace - HrPulse will be able to view the email addresses of your Slack workspace's members.
  • Modify your public channels - HrPulse will be able to modify information about your public channels, including name and purpose, as well as archive and create new ones.
  • Modify your profile - HrPulse will be able to modify your profile fields, as well as any data you entered in them, only when given user permission to do so.
  • Confirm your identity - HrPulse will be able to view your user id number, full name, and workspace id number on your workspace.
  • Add a bot user with the username - HrPulse will be able to install a bot user that appears in and has access to your workspace's directory. It can also post messages and view activity on messages in any channel it is invited to.
  • Access your workspace's profile information - HrPulse will be able to access profile information for all users on your workspace, including names and contact information.

When do we collect information?

When you register for our site or services, enter information on our sites, communicate with our customer support staff or the bot, including when you upload files as attachments, we may gather information from you. If you are a visitor, we only gather the data you enter into the demo or appointment form.

How do we use your information?

We may make the following uses of the data we learn about you from whether you register, make a purchase, subscribe to our newsletter, answer a survey or marketing email, browse our website, utilize our services, or use specific other site features:

  • If you log a support ticket with us, then with your explicit permission, our support team might access your interaction logs with HrPulse to help root cause and resolve your issue.
  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  • To follow up after correspondence (live chat, email or phone inquiries.)
  • To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  • To send periodic emails regarding analytics, your usage, and best practices.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer with HrPulse or you have the product installed in your Slack workspace and after that for such a period as may be required for our legitimate purposes in compliance with any legal, audit, and compliance requirements. In certain cases, we may delete your data on your request. To request a complete data purge, you can open a ticket by messaging to HrPulse in Slack or you can write to us at [email protected]

Third Parties

Except when we provide users advance notice, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information. This does not apply to our website hosting partners or other third parties who help us run our business, provide for the needs of our users, or operate our website or services, as long as those parties agree to keep this information private. We may also disclose information where doing so is necessary to comply with the law, uphold the terms and conditions for our site or services, or safeguard the rights, property, or safety of us or others.

Our data processing guidelines include standard contractual clauses with respect to terms governing the processing of personal data. We periodically update these terms. If you have an active subscription for any of HrPulse's products, we will let you know when we do via an email or in-app notification.

Third-party links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site or services and welcome any feedback about these sites or services.

Visitors and HrPulse users have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • The right to rectification or correction of any errors in Visitor Personal Information;
  • The right to request deletion of Visitor Personal Information;
  • The right to restrict or object to the processing of Visitor Personal Information;
  • The right to withdraw consent to the processing of Visitor Personal Information;
  • The right of portability in Visitor Personal Information; and
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect your email address in order to:

Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.

To be in accordance with CANSPAM, we agree to the following:

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.
